Letterpress: Postcards from Yellowstone

Yellowstone has been a second home to me. My Grandfather was a Park Ranger in Yellowstone for a number of years and he loved to share his passion for this incredibly unique place with our family. After his passing, Yellowstone became even more of a special place to me.

As a kid, I learned that Yellowstone was a super volcano. This is what creates all of the unique hydrothermal features. Although fascinating now, I was absolutely terrified of the idea when I was little. After learning more about it, I have grown to love and appreciate the special place that is Yellowstone National Park. For my capstone, I have created postcards and posters based off of and incorporating my Grandpa’s photographs as a tribute both to our Nation’s first National Park, and more specifically, my incredible grandfather. I want to thank him for sharing his love for this beautiful place with me.
